Everyone was truly saddened to learn of Cecil's passing. He was a true gentleman in word and deed. I especially appreciated the Green family's tribute, which accurately portrayed Cecil's attributes with words that were most appropriate. This was the Cecil we knew and respected. As you sail out of Caribou Harbour one last time, kindly take a moment to think back and reminisce about the times we had together. Trust is the foundation in any relationship and your predictability was a testament to your character. The consistency of your words and actions was, without question. Please rest easy, friend.

My Condolences to Irene and Family, Cecil was a gentleman and very likeable man. Cecil set the bar when it came to mechanical work as well as any other trade. We'll all remember that smile. Irene so sorry to hear this.

In the waters of life, Cecil set sail, A fisherman bold, telling many a tale. His prized boat, the Caribou Queen, Navigated the seas, a vessel unseen.
With a captain's hat and a weathered pipe, Cecil embraced the ocean, its rhythm and hype. A top-notch welder with skills so keen, On the Caribou Queen, he was truly a marine.
In his garage, a workshop of dreams, A lathe, a mill – where innovation gleams. Fixing, crafting, with hands strong and steady, Cecil's talents flowed like a river ready.
Teaching navigation to the sea's novice, He guided them through waves, oh, so cautious. A mentor on water, a captain on land, Cecil's legacy forever will stand.
Machinery puzzles, a challenge embraced, Friends sought his help, and never were they disgraced. With sparks flying high and the sound of a hum, Cecil fixed it all, his work second to none.
A man of the ocean, a friend to the core, Helping others always, never a bore. In the fishing tales and the boats that he'd mend, Cecil's memory sails on, around the bend.
Now the Caribou Queen sails a different tide, With Cecil as captain, forever to guide. In the great sea beyond, where legends convene, An old fisherman rests, serene and serene.
With fond memories of Cecil. Blessed to have known him. Condolences to Irene and family.
The Green family

Sorry to hear of the passing, Cecil was the first person I met at the Fisheries school in the late 70's he was a wealth of knowledge in Marine Engineering for his students. He taught me the difference between Trombone Pipes and Banjo fittings as well as the proper procedure on Starting the Opposed Piston Sub engine at the School.it was knowledge that I kept for my whole career in Marine Engineering. Thanks Cecil.
