I have been a near neighbor to Ron since he established his little home on the MacIntosh Road, in West Branch, more than two decades ago. I have called in many times to visit him during the years and came to esteem him as a a kindly and caring man, an informed and concerned citizen, a good neighbor and a gentleman. Alas, I have not visited him as frequently during and since the pandemic for obvious reasons, and more recently due to the unfortunate declining condition of my elderly husband, who is a mere year younger than was Ron- I therefore did not know how ill Ron had become or how near was his death.
Nevertheless, please allow me to express my, and our family’s deeply-felt sympathy to those who loved him, and those who were beloved by him.
