On Sunday, May 7th, 2023 we said goodbye to Daniel Orville Battist age 67 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 29th, 1956 in Pictou to Bob and Sadie (Rae) Battist of Sundridge. Danny worked at many jobs, including Pictou Shipyard, Trenton Car Works, Farming and Fishing. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skidooing, hockey, darts and his greatest love was for Draft Horses. He will be forever loved and missed by partner, Millie Elliott-Grant. Danny is survived by brother, Jim Battist (Marie), New Glasgow; chosen brother, Donald (Karen) Day, Chasewood. He was predeceased by both parents and brother, Wayne. Danny will be sadly missed by his cousins, nephew, nieces and numerous neighbours and friends. All are welcome to attend a graveside service Friday, May 12th at 3 PM with Jacquie Ross officiating at the Caribou River Upper Cemetery.
