Danny ,
To one of the men that never left home, Sundridge was your place, over the bridge and there was his was his love his farm .
I have so many memories of Danny from a young child starting with you and Barry Corbett dropping in with case of beer or two , your pack of smokes in your upper left hand pocket of your shirt . Lots of stories, lots of words that maybe I shouldn’t have been hearing but that was you take him or leave him he wasn’t going to change for nobody . Passing out to have awoke to a painted face with make up from cory and I , maybe a little night time jacking of a deer for the next door neighbor so he get that buck mounted for his wall (Amel Sutherland) mom and Jessie waiting patiently for them to come back and not get caught, loads of hay well into the night ,maybe a little tipsy and fall into the manure pile, Cory bungee tying you to his little four wheeler to take you home because you couldn’t drive to maybe dad having a to tow you out of the ditches one or twice , lol ,watching you and dad head for the woods in the wintertime and then the evening to come back over to play the hand of crib or a game of 45s and the smashing of your knuckles down on the table and dad calling you a cheating bugger and Papa (Henry) , laughing ! Mom taking out meals when you and dad work for Gerald Battist in the middle of nowhere those memories will last a lifetime. Fast forward to when I am grown and have kids of my own you became uncle fro The guy that would drive by stop in smoke a half a pack of cigarettes have a cup of coffee, thank you for teaching gregory to lobster fish and your chats with Sophie about Exhibition and horses those memories will never fade for them. You laughing telling mom wait til cheryl sees the no pipe sign at the end of my driveway … that should get her going he said ! I could set my clock to see you drive by and toot your horn when you were building traps down at Tracy’s to come home to feed your horses .For richard Danny’s advice of when to fertilize and cut the hay off the field Richard always waited to see what your farming opinion would be!
For my dad …his cousin , school mate, next door neighbour, work partner , one of his best friends dads famous line to Danny when he pulled into the yard … what’s bothering you today now ?! Dads Sunday morning drives over Danny’s bridge will change for him , (Millie keep the coffee pot on he will be over!) the great memories you made together young and old will never be forgotten.
Millie you loved him for who he was , grumpy, smart ass and his love of horses and for that you made the last memories for me the best ♥️
Love Cheryl xo

Danny was a great friend full of choice words to fit any situation. Dan was exactly what you saw, there was no behind your back stuff with Frozen, he always said it to your face. We played many sports together and had a lot of great laughs doing it. He was a kind guy too, but he didn't want you to let on. We'll all miss the days without his wit and words. My condolence to Millie and all the family and friends of which there are many.

“Uncle Fro” Hard on the outside soft on the inside, never a time wondering what you were thinking because you’d say it and it didn’t matter who it was, with a few curse words mixed in of course. Thank you for teaching me how to lobster fish, I’ll never forget that Saturday of the first week when we came in to the wharf at the end of the day you just looked at me and said your ready kid I’m not coming back Monday, unannounced to me and rube you weren’t feeling good and couldn’t go on. Never forget the visits with dad over at your place learning all the right ways to doing things and the dumb ways other people did things, walking into the kitchen in a haze of smoke and you better be wearing a tee shirt because it was going to be 45 degrees in there beside the stove. Going over to nanny and puppy’s as a young kid when when you were visiting just to listen to the stories and the battist on battist arguments that never got won but one was still more right then the other. My favourite memory is that day we were out fishing with dewayne and it was A-little rough he turned to the right to grab the trawl and didn’t you fall arse first right into the bait bin hahaha if you know fro you can just imagine what came out of his mouth. Thanks “Uncle fro” until we meet again.
