Obituary of Annabelle Munroe

MUNROE, F. Annabelle Harris Road Florence Annabelle Munroe, 75, of the Harris Road left us suddenly on December 20th, 2022, in her home. She was born in Pictou, the baby of 11 children, to the late Nathan and Cassie (Clarke) MacPhail. Annabelle spent her adult life working at 18 Front Street in Pictou. First with IGA and most recently with Fulmore’s PharmaChoice, always with a cheerful smile and greeting. The door to her home was always open. When her children were young, her house was the place to be, and as they had their own families, it continued to be the place to gather for holidays and birthdays. She loved being involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and was fortunate to have good neighbours and friends who showed her kindness and shared her strong sense of community. She was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church, a member of the Altar Guild, the ladies group, the envelope secretary and was currently serving on Parish council. We are blessed to have many special memories of Annabelle, who bid us all farewell wearing her beloved red turtleneck, silver earrings and a smile for everyone. She is survived by her children, Tori Munroe (Laurie Campbell), Patti (David) Shea, and Tim Munroe; brother, Harvey (Barbara) MacPhail; grandchildren, Danielle (Nelson) Fraser, Tim Shea, Evan Shea; great- granddaughters, Kenley, Mila and Ellie Fraser; many nieces and nephews. Annabelle was predeceased by brothers, Sydney, Roy, Walter, Ross, Jeff, and sisters, Patsy, Janet (Ninner), Eleanor (Sisser) and Joan. A special thank you to the first responders from the Scotsburn Fire Department and the EHS Paramedics. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at McLaren Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27th, from 4-7 pm. The Funeral will be held at St. James Anglican Church on Wednesday, December 28th, at 11 am. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Scotsburn Fire Department or St. James Anglican Church.
