To Leona and the entire Murray Family,
I was so very sad at learning of Hugh’s passing. I send condolences to the entire Murray Family, and my heart is filled with wonderful memories of them all! Great Aunt Jean and Great Uncle Milledge always made room for yet one more child (me) so many summers in my childhood, and I will always treasure those days on the farm! Sending blessings and peace to each of you.

I am so sorry to hear about Hugh. For many years I watched, as a little girl, Jean lead their long line of children into the pew(s) across from ours at St. David's, Toney River. (Milledge headed up to the choir!) My sympathy to the entire family for the loss of a wonderful family man!

Hughie was the kindest and most patient man that I have ever had the honour of knowing. He was a man of few words but always listened and showed that he cared. I have so many fond memories growing up at his house and he treated not only me but every child to walk through his doors like one of his own. Hughie had a big heart and was loved by so many. He will be greatly missed. Sending my most heartfelt condolences to Leona, Evan, Terri-lee and their families. ❤️❤️

Hughie was a great guy. We were so lucky to get Hughie and Evan to work on our home and garage. Two of the finest carpenters around. Hughie will be missed .

We are so sorry to hear of Hughie's passing. We remember fondly church activities, having Hughie work on our house in Scotsburn and the time we picked out some paint and Hughie and Evan painted it while we were away. Let me say it could be seen all over the village.....a true Smurf Blue. They willingly repainted it with a more subtle colour.
Passing at his son's home was no doubt a comfort to him.

Words cannot convey our feelings today. Hughie was such a great friend to us over the years. We never saw him grumpy, or lose his cool and he always had a gentle manner and kind words. One of a kind. We will miss him so much, but fortunately we have many great memories to tide us over into the future when we will all meet again. Hugh was one of the best - a faithful elder and church member, a great carpenter and a thoughtful Christian man. He did a lot of work at the Manse while we lived there, and we always appreciated his fine work.
