Obituary of John Wesley Eastman

EASTMAN, John W. Pictou 1947 - 2021 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear brother, John Wesley Eastman, on December 25, 2021, at the age of 74. Born in Baddeck, NS, he was a son of the late Anthony and Bertha (Anderson) Eastman. John grew up in Pictou and remained a life-long resident. He was employed for many years at Pictou Industries and also spent some time on Canadian Coast Guard vessels. John will be remembered for his witty remarks, his knack of story-telling, and his kindness to others. He loved animals, especially his cats Cali and Baby. He loved travelling around the Maritimes, especially PEI, Cape Breton, and parts of southern New Brunswick. He is survived by brothers, Al (Joan), Milford; Charlie (Diane), Bayview; sisters, Barb (Sandy Campbell), and Margie, all of Pictou. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Jon, Jason, Jody, Jordan, Ainsley and Addy, as well as several close cousins. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
