I would like to send my condolences to the Eastman family with the passing of John. John was like an adopted brother in our family. If he wasn't home he was always at our place. John and Russell were the best of friends and went everywhere together. Yes, John always had stories to tell you when he met you. He would wave his hand to you, come here b'y, have you heard the story about the guy........ and he would tell his stories in a low tone of voice that kept your attention and he would finish with what do you think about that b'y? Growing up, every one in Pictou was given at least one nickname that stuck better than your own name. John was given the name of Congo. Yes, John you will be missed. I hope you and Russell are together again hanging out, love you John
