We are both so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. We always found her smiling when we met in the village or at church on Sunday mornings.

Sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing. I fondly remember our visits to Scotsburn and visiting Rachael and Sylvia in their home and their store. It was always so much fun in the store as Rachael let us (my sister Lorraine and I) choose candy from the showcase. We were in Scotsburn for a week each summer. Dad (George Ronald Canning) was related to Rachael, and Mom was a cousin to Stella Gammon and Clara Forbes. It was a week we, as kids, waited for each summer.
So nice to hear that Sylvia had children to care for her. Take care in thinking of all your good times together.
Dorothy (Canning) Harroun.
I wish to send sincere condolences to your family. My name is Lorraine MacDonald and I live in Springhill.I was born Lorraine Canning. My father’s name was Ronald Canning. I remember visiting your Mom and Grandmother in Scotsburn.I am glad to know she had family to comfort her in her later years.Take care.
So very sorry for the loss of your mother/grandmother. A loss most of us experience and we all will use memories to help us through the difficulty. Ron & Debbie (Irving) Sharpe
