Obituary of Renee Crystal Hebert
On the first day of summer 2018 the world lost a gentle soul. We lost a loving daughter and sister, a wonderful friend, a generous aunt and a devoted fiancé. Renee passed peacefully in her sleep on June 21st at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Crystal Renee Hebert (call her Crystal and she would be quick to correct you) was born March 6th 1978 to parents, Wilfred and Florence, (Buchanan) Hebert. She is survived by her one true love, Mike MacLellan; sisters, Terry, Ashley (Liam) and Theresa (who was loved like a sister) and brother, Wil. One of the greatest joys of Renee's life was children. She will be fondly remembered by nieces, Jade, Grace and Ally and by nephews, Forest, Cullen, Leo, Dillon and Brandon as well as by a large and wondrous extended family. Jake, a black lab and her daily companion will be lost without his best friend. Renee was Beautiful! It has been said that the most beautiful people we will ever know are those that have known suffering and struggle and have found their way through it. Renee was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 12 years old and had struggled with her health most of her life. It was these same struggles that gave her an appreciation, sensitivity and a perspective on life that few of us will ever know. She was filled with compassion, gentleness and a deep loving concern for those around her. She was beautiful for the glow in her face when she talked about those she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make other people smile even when she was sad. She was beautiful; down to her soul. She is deeply Loved and will be profoundly missed by all those who were privileged enough to know the beauty of her heart. A celebration of Renee's life will be held at 11am Monday, June 25th at Stella Maris Cemetery in Pictou, with a gathering at the Family home to follow. In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Renee maybe made to the Diabetic Association ( info@diabetes.ca).

But as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again. "
