Obituary of Donald Archibald MacLean

MacLEAN, Donald A. Louisville It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald MacLean at the age of 71 of Louisville, NS. He passed away peacefully at home on July 22nd, 2024 with his wife of 53 years Margaret (Holmes) by his side. Donald, the son of the late George and Pearl MacLean spent his life on the family farm where lots of family gatherings were held. He worked for the Department of Transportation, and was a lifelong member of the River John Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; his children, Mark (Michelle Smeenk); Tanya (Donald Teed); Brian (Shar); and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Joey, Liam, Megan, Jennie and Christena; his sister, Fern Zinck; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Lillian, Marj, Janet, and Mary. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held. Donations in Donald’s memory may be made to the River John Fire Department.
