I met Robin in 2018 when she came to me as a voice student looking to prepare for her upcoming battle of the bands. Right away I was impressed by her energy, hard work, strong voice, and excellent musical taste :)
When she was no longer able to sing we switched over to piano and she continued to be an amazing student. We played everything from Elton John to Tchaikovsky to Nirvana (not the easiest thing to adapt for piano but we made it work!) and we had the most fun nerding out about music and food and movies and kids and life.
I really looked up to her as a person and as a parent. My own three kids were quite young when we started working together and Robin’s wonderful relationship with her kids has always been an inspiration.
I was lucky enough to work with her until May of 2024 and am grateful for every minute of the time we had together.
Gary, Erik, Conner, and Lindsay, sending you so much love and my deepest condolences.

Dear Gary,
It's been many years since I last saw Robin - but I've always remembered her so fondly.
I thought of college today and then Robin. I am so sorry to learn of your loss.
I met your beautiful Robin her in first year illustration in Brampton, Ontario. I remember her beautiful smile, boundless energy, and her incredible intelligence. She was full of light and just a really lovely and outgoing person. She took the time to get to know me (a very shy person).
We used to get into my old Dodge Omni with our ice skates and go skating at Gage Park during class breaks - or we'd grab a coffee and sit and have great talks in a cozy corner of the college. I remember her ska dancing at my locker in her little black leather boots, her love of gourmet and new and unusual foods, her fencing, and many other wonderful things. I'm grateful for her as she was a part of a lot of my happy days at school.
I wish you and your family love, and comfort and I hope you'll always be surrounded by happy memories.
Blessings to you and your family.

Thanks Kim, for those wonderful memories from way back in Brampton. Robin enjoyed her time at Sheridan, in no small part because of the fun and interesting people she met there, and hung out with in those days.
And, thank you for your kind words - the kids and I have many very happy memories of Robin, and these are the foundation of our healing process.

Harry and I have many good memories of Robin. My first spent with Robin was during a snowstorm, college was canceled that day, and I went over to her apartment, drank tea and played board games. I remember that Gary arrived home from work just in time for Fashion television!
Robin was the kind of friend that no matter how much time had passed between chats, the conversations picked up like we'd never missed a day.
Our thoughts are with all of you. Lots of Hugs!!!

So sorry to hear about Robin. She is really great and love hanging out with her. I could tell from the start that she simply is a good hearted soul. Got to know Robin (and Gary...and family) and the goodness went right through the family!! Was always fun with both Gary and Robin. I'll miss you Robin and just how great you are. Oh, will miss you at the Battle of the Bands!
You left behind a legacy of kindness and greatness in your family and friends. Rest in peace as I'm sure that your battle had been arduous at times. To the family...keep on swimming and living life, Robin would have wanted that for everyone! - Tom Machell, Dutch Settlement, NS.

Thanks Tom. I remember when Robin and I first met you; we were sitting shyly in a booth at an IMP Christmas party, not knowing anyone, and you walked up with your date and asked if you could sit with us - we were so relieved to have someone to talk to. Robin always thought you were one of our most fun friends. Please stay close, and never change.

Robin has always held a special place in our heart. Maybe because she looked so much like our own daughter, Kristin. From the early days when she would come and spend the summer with Grandma and Grandpa Jones, we watched her grow. We have some great slides of her with our kids preparing to go to camp while she was here in Manitoba. We are so grateful for the visit we had with your family just a short time before Robin was diagnosed. It was so good to get to know you Gary, Connor, Eric and Lindsay. Our prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time of mourning. A light has gone out in all our lives. Blessings from Aunt Barb and Uncle Earl Case

Thank you, Barb and Earl, for being part of such fond memories for our beloved Robin. She really enjoyed her summers in Manitoba, and those experiences became part of her personality. She loved the outdoors and cherished family - notions that were nourished during her visits there.

We knew Robin only a few short years as our neighbor at Toney River. She was a grounded soul who brought out the best in those whose lives she touched. She’ll be well remembered at every sunset. Our hearts go out to her family and friends in this difficult time.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Candace Myers and family

Gary, Erik, Conner & Lindsay,
We met Robin and you when Conner started at karate in kid's class. We thought that was great! But it got even better when Robin joined Conner in the adult class!
Robin was a wonderful, kind, and generous person. Not only proud and supportive of Conner's achievements, but also for her classmates. All along humble of her own achievements in karate. She was a role model to many. She was a joy to teach.
We have wonderful memories of classes filled with her laughter, smiles, and eagerness to train. And memories of barbecues, bottle drives, dim sum dinners and beach days at your home and cottage. Thank you so much for sharing her with us.
Our thoughts are with you. Robin will always be in our thoughts. Never Forgotten. Always Remembered. Always in our hearts. ❤

Robin loved training at the East Hants dojo. She had the deepest respect for Sensei Goltz, and warmest admiration for everyone involved in making the club the open and inviting family that it is. Our continued friendship with the club is a bright spot for our family to look forward to in the future.

Gary and family,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Robin for many years at IMP and during that time, she was always one of the bright spots of the office. Always a welcoming smile and demeanor so genuinely happy, it was impossible to be positively affected. Nothing will be the same without her.
