To Eldon and family
I was so very sad to hear of Linda's sudden passing. I was at Rug School last week along with about 150 others. Linda did a fabulous job that week. I was one of her students for her Beginner's Course when the school was held in Cornwallis, several years ago. I have gone to many since and I always looked forward to seeing her. We will miss her too. My love and prayers to all of you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Linda's family. I will remember Linda as great rug hooker, always friendly and willing to help me with colors and tips for hooking my rugs. She had a great sense of humor and was a super director of rug school. She will be remembered and missed.

So very sad.
I knew Linda through rug hooking, and particularly Rug School. We just finished a wonderful Rug School at Mount St.Vincent in Bedford, run by Linda. She was in top form, funny, assertive, relaxed and fully in charge. She did a masterful job, and had even agreed to run the next School in 2019. She planned to train people to replace her (as quickly as possible, she might have said), and we knew all was in good hands.
I believe Linda set up the first rug hooking shop in Nova Scotia. She also rescued the Garrett rug hooking patterns and has made it possible for rug hookers to share these historic patterns through new rugs.
My sincere condolences to you, her family. Such a sudden loss, so very tough.

On behalf of all members of the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia, we sincerely express our heartfelt sympathies to Eldon and family in your time of sorrow. Linda was an amazing person and has left an imprint on so many!
"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"

Please accept my sincere condolences on Linda's sudden and premature death. I was at rug school only last week and we spoke several times about our families and the rug hooking world. I so admired Linda's irreverent sense of humour and her classy clothing style and was looking forward to another year of her directorship of rug school. I will miss her, as will all of the members of our hooking community. As her family, you should be proud of her many contributions to rug hooking in Nova Scotia.
