So sorry to hear of Sterling's passing. Have known Sterling since we were teenagers and in the early 1960's we both moved to Halifax where we shared an apartment with 4 other guys. Those were wild and wooly days but we enjoyed every minute. Sterling was always full of fun and that helped to keep the spirits of everyone at a high level. So long old friend from Ottawa - sorry I am not in the old home town to pay my respects but the memories will never lessen in your absence.

What can I say about Sterling. I worked at a Ford tractor dealership where I first met Sterl when he was with Ford Credit. I eventually became his parts manager at Maple Ford in Middleton, Anna. Co.. He treated me royally and I have many nice memories of him. The last time I saw Sterl was at the Johnny Reid concert in Halifax a few years ago. I, like many, knew Sterling through my Ford Credit career. I can still see his smile and admire his ability to seize the moment and enjoy life. Gone but never forgotten.

First met Sterling in the mid sixties when I worked with him at Avco Finance on Barrington St . He was my mentor . We both moved on and I enjoyed many meetings with Stirling over the years . He always had stories of his experiences. Rest in piece Sterling.

I remember the first time I met Sterling in person. I had just opened my real estate brokerage in River John and there was a knock on my door, April 24, 2007. Sterling and Janice, with great stories of how Sterling spent many days of his youth in River John, and new my family well. He proceeded over the next few years to introduce me to potential business opportunities, and in fact was highly instrumental in the start up of my business by giving me several of his properties to sell. I am forever grateful to Sterling, he was a thinker, funny, and a great friend to have. RIP Sterling, my condolences to Janice and his family.
