We were very shocked and saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. We have very fond memories of Joyce, especially myself as she worked with me for a number of years in my tax accounting office in Pictou.
I was very confident to leave the office for a few days as I knew there would not be any problems when I came back.
It was a pleasure knowing you, Joyce, and working with you. Also you, Keith and Jim were a fantastic team to lead the weekend market.
Rest in peace.

Cathy , Shelly , Steve, Ken , Audrey and brother Ken and families :
Your loss is great ! Joyce was very authentic and was always logical with a very common sense approach to whatever might need to be accomplished.
My first encounter with Joyce was when she agreed to teach a group of CGIT girls to make leather wallets. It was a great success. I used mine until it was worn out ! Very talented in whatever she did.
I always admired both she and Keith for their compassionate care of Jackie.
She did enjoy whatever she was doing in her life and loved her family unconditionally. Always interesting to chat with Joyce.
I am unable to attend the visitation.
Cathy if your are in the area drop in anytime.
To all , may your warm memories surround you and bring comfort at this sad time in your lives.
Sincerely ,
Beth Nelson.

This is indeed a sad time for Joyce's family. I have known this lady for over 77 years. We grew up together as children because our families were very close friends. I attended church with Joyce, went to school with Joyce, danced at parties with Joyce, skated with Joyce. I was able to see her almost every time I returned to visit my family in Stellarton. Joyce and Keith were always kind and open to invite my wife Lise and I to their home in Lyon's Brook during our home visits. Joyce made an effort to see us and the Thompson family on the occasion of our visit last July at Pictou Lodge. She was having difficulty walking but she made the trip from Westville anyway. I will miss her laughter her sense of humour and love of family. May she find peace finally. Jack & Lise Thompson, Kingston Ontario.

My condolences to all the family. Having a good conversation with Joyce in chance meetings over the years confirmed she still enjoyed life to the fullest keeping busy and interested in all that was happening. She did live a full life.

Thinking of you all at this sad time. I spent many Saturday and Sundays with Joyce, Keith and Jim at the Weekend Market for years! All wonderful people. I can still hear Joyce’s laugh as she engaged in so many conversations with tourists and locals. ❤️

I was saddened to read of Joyce's passing. I knew her through the Pictou County Weekend Market, where I was a vendor. My booth was always in sight of hers and I have fond memories of my years with the market. Joyce was intelligent, kind and funny. She will be missed by those who knew her.
