Obituary of Janice Pass

PASS, E. Janice Scotsburn With heavy hearts we share that Eleanor Janice Pass has passed gently onto her next chapter on May 8, 2023. Janice was predeceased by her loving husband, Brian James Pass. She was a mother of four, Eric Pass (Kathy Gottschall), Laurie Finch, Ian Pass and David Pass; grandmother of seven, Caitlin, Alek, Danica, Michael, Emily, Nathaniel and Elonna; great-grandmother of five and a sister to Moira Davis. Janice was known for her spunky attitude, strong sense of community and her love of nature. She made everyone around her laugh and never let a visitor leave empty handed - whether it was a fresh loaf of bread or a jar of her delicious pickles. Her passion for Gaelic culture, gardening and exploring were evident through every conversation. She has passed on her love of plants and her incredible baking skills to her grandchildren. Janice will forever be remembered as a strong and spirited individual. Some of her favourite hobbies included snowshoeing, hiking, gardening, baking and volunteering with Saint James Anglican church. Her memory lives on in friends and family around the world. The funeral will take place at Saint James Anglican church on Friday May 12, 2023 at 11 am with a reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, please grab a friend and take a nature walk in her memory. She would not want anyone to be sad in her passing. She would want us to heal in each other's company surrounded by nature.
