Obituary of John Blair MacDonald

MacDONALD, John Blair Pictou MacDonald, John Blair, 81 of Pictou, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, Saturday 3rd December 2022. John is survived by his 3 sons, James (Angela) Lower Sackville; Jeffery, Pictou; Jason (Michelle), Westville; grandchildren, Connor (Lara), Bedford and Meghan, Lower Sackville; three brothers, George ‘Allie’, Brucey (Eloise) and Jimmy-Joe (Cheryl), all of Pictou; countless nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, James Blair and Ellen; wife of 42 years, Sonia ; brother, Doug; sisters, Mary and Carol in infancy, and sister-in-law, Della. John lived many years in Winnipeg as an Ind/Res painter. Upon returning to Pictou worked as an Independent taxi driver until retiring. John was a quiet man, he enjoyed time with his family and crosswords. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday December 17th from 1-3 PM Pictou Legion lounge. Family committal to follow at Seaview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
