To Tammy and all of Judy's Family,
Our most sincere condolences to you all. There are so many wonderful memories that will last a life time.
If you were having a bad day and Judy showed up, things were going to get better. Only Judy could sell you a full page ad
and have you in stitches at the same time. Certainly a real gem. Rest in peace our good friend.

How/what to say about cousin Judy? Although a 2nd cousin she was very interconnected with us, that MacNeill blood! Her father, Toby, and my grandfather (my mother’s father), Dando, were brothers. She actually, one time, babysat one night for us kids in Truro as I think my Mom was desperate due to no one else to ask that was close by. I have a very vague memory of it but… it is still there…as you can imagine. Over the course of years…living in Pictou…Judy would occasionally grant us a “Royal visit”…being it was occasional/seldom but she made up for it. Always laughter. I remember her most by the stories and laughter. Her customary comment “tell your mother I will be stopping by!” That anticipation, although vague time frame, was enough to keep you in suspense. She was always very kind and considerate to my Mom…I need not say anymore about her character. She will be missed immensely by her sisters and especially Tammy.

I am saddened to hear of Judy’s passing. She was a very special person who loved life and all it had to offer. We had many good laughs when she looked after Mom. Mom loved her and was so happy to have her care. She had some rough times but refused to let it get her down. She loved to laugh and always had a funny story to relate. She will be missed. May she Rest in Peace with her dear son, Tommy.

What do you say about a legend? She had an iconic personality, a heart as big as all outdoors, and wisdom and humor that helped all who knew her. Judy watched and helped me grow when I worked under her at The Advocate. She praised my achievements, guided my endeavors and called me out on errors both professional and personal. I respected her and have called upon lessons she taught she throughout my life. Life's choices separated us but whenever we bumped into each other time fell away.
God bless you 'Jude'. I know you are bringing love and laughter where you are now just as you did down here for us.
My deepest sympathies to her cherished family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Judy many years ago picking tobacco on Caribou Island when I was in my teens. Later in life we played darts together at the New Horizons Club in Pictou. Judy kept us in stitches with her wit and sense of humor. She was one of a kind and will always be remembered for her kind heart. She fought a brave battle with strength & dignity. Sincerest condolences to Judy's family and close friends. Rest in peace Judy.

It is a sad day for me....to here that my good friend Judy has passed away.we both worked for the same company for years.we would talk for hours about life and how unfair it is.But would always leave on a positive note.I loved her dearly. Maybe she did not have the last word but she didn't need too.the way she lived is her legacy. RIP my dear friend.

I just lost my breath for a moment when I saw Judy’s obituary. One of the last times I spoke with her she was talking about planning a big birthday party! I am so happy to have gotten to know Judy again in the last couple of years. She used to babysit us when we were kids. She was a kind, funny lady who made you laugh out loud and spoke from the heart. She often spoke of her family and all her travels with so much fondness and pride. I can see her sitting at the table playing cards and showing off her shiny red earrings or funny hat. She was a character who lit up a room. Judy we will all miss you and your funny stories. I send my deepest condolences to her family and friends.
