As his friend, family and neighbour. I have many memories of watching the evening news with Bill and waiting for the 6:30 weather report. No matter if it was Peter Coade, Cindy Day (his favourite) or Kalin Mitchell we always anticipated the weather report. Especially if bad weather was heading out way. Bill would always say “we better batten down the hatches”. My favourite memory of Bill, in August 2005 I had a knock at the door. It was Bill caring a gas jug. He invited me to go out sailing, we walked to Percy’s, sailed across the river up to the store for “pop’s”, then sailed well past the Iron Bridge almost to the Fjord. On returning to Percy’s he went home and leant me his boat. I was able to take my new girlfriend ( Amanda) out on the boat we sailed to Murphy’s Beach and the Point. It was a day we’ll never forget. May God Bless You. Love Jason, Amanda, Jordyn, Joshua and Jaelyn
