Obituary of Florence Elizabeth MacDonald

MacDONALD, Florence Pictou MacDONALD, Florence Elizabeth (Sutherland) passed away June 12, 2022 at the age of 94, peacefully in the Maritime Odd Fellows Home, with her family by her side. Born April 27, 1928 in Toney River, she was a daughter of the late John Willie and Matilda (MacKay) Sutherland. Florence was a stay at home Mom, who enjoyed spending time with her family, and all her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved a good game of cards. The tea pot was always on and she loved lots of company. Surviving are her sons, Earl (Judy), Barry, Eric (Lynn), Allan (Kelly); daughters, Judy (Leonard) and Hazel (Robbie); 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and sister, Jean Henderson. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; son, Brent; brother, Austin; sisters, Edna and Hazel. A very special thank you to all the employees of the Maritime Odd Fellows Home and Glen Haven Manor, for their great care. No visitation by request. A private family graveside service will be held in Haliburton Cemetery, with Jacquie Ross officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to Maritime Odd Fellows Home or a charity of your choice.
