Obituary of Clarence Wayne Allard

ALLARD, Clarence Wayne ‘Clarrie’ Pictou Today April 17, 2022 Clarrie’s spirit flew away at the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou. Clarrie grew up on the Red Row in Stellarton. He was a son of the late Hardy and Laura (Nickerson) Allard. He is survived by the love of his life and soul mate of 47 years, Rhoda (Wood); daughters, Carrie (Henrik), Sweden; Wendy (Chris Cameron), Westville; 3 grandchildren who were the love that filled his heart, Lauren, Cohen, Cairan, all of Sweden; Gail Beck; sisters, Barb (Keith), Brenda, Patsy, Laurie (Mark); brother, Ken (Martha); special nephew, Jason Wood; special cousins, Neil and Jim Allard; nieces, nephews and cousins; in-laws, Eric (Irene ‘Chickie’), Verna, Donna, Ann Allard and Dennis Martin. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Donnie. Clarrie was a very quiet, easy going man with a dry sense of humor. He had a very strong work ethic. He was a carpenter by trade until he suffered a work injury. His family was his pride and joy. He always loved adventures out, car shows, motorcycles and drives with his best friend of 47 years Sonny Dean. Those were the best of times. His quiet strength and unwavering love was our rock. We could get through anything as a family. He fought Parkinson’s for 19 years. He worked and did everything he could with the help of his Doctor and Parkinson’s support group to live and be prepared to face the challenges with dignity. He was a member of the Pictou County Injured Workers and a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters in school mentoring for years, always helping with whatever they needed. I want to thank Dr. MacLachlan and the staff at the Oddfellows Home in all departments who helped us through all the challenges of his journey. As well as all the kindness, love and support that was always shown to the family. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services at this time. Burial will be held at a later date.
