Peter/Jeanette, and sons: Lorne and I were very saddened to hear of Bob’s passing.
Elva was a favourite cousin of Lorne’s and he admitted he was very jealous of Bob when he began to court Elva.
I once told Elva that and she loved it!
Lorne and I loved to visit Bob and Elva and one thing we knew for sure was how they loved their good son, Pete, and his wonderful wife, Jeanette, who baked and prepared meals for years for them. The obituary was correct, she was like a daughter to them.
They were so proud of the grandsons as well, and were very fond of their partners. We heard a lot of great things about Mel who lived next door in particular.
We always respected Bob’s candid nature and his knowledge. You knew quickly if he liked you or didn’t and we both really liked that about Bob. There was no B.S. there.
We are thinking of you all at this sad time. Take good care of dear Elva as we know you always have.
