It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Edna Catherine (McNutt) (Taylor) Byers on November 8, 2021, at the age of 83. Edna was born in Harmony, NS to Hector and Elsie (Moore) McNutt. She was survived by husband, Jim Byers, New Glasgow; daughters, Teresa Taylor, Pictou; Maxine Murphy, East Village; son-in-law, Joe Wilson, Riverton; sister-in-law, Judy Langille, Truro; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Edna was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Taylor; son, Lawrence Taylor; daughter, Donna Wilson; son-in-law, Johnny Murphy; siblings, Isabelle Moore, Velma (Mack) Murray, Linda McNutt, Freddie McNutt, Harvey McNutt, Raymond McNutt, Ivan McNutt; in-laws, Carlton and Emma Byers, along with several nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held in West Branch Cemetery. The family would like to say thank you to the hospital staff and nursing home staff at Glen Haven Manor for all the wonderful care that Edna received.
