"When we think of the past it's the beautiful things we pick out. We want to believe it was all like that."
I worked at NRHS and substituted William's classes many times over the past couple of years. When I saw the last name and then matched it to the student I asked him where his family was from because he reminded me of Naugler's from where I'm from (Sheet Harbour). He told me he was related to them and we chatted for a bit about who in his family I knew.
William was always quiet but was always respectful and a pleasure to have in the room. He had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor.
I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss of such a wonderful young man. I will always remember him fondly. Bless you all.

I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you as William's parents. You don't know me but I grew up in Pugwash NS. I'm the mom of two girls a bit younger than your son was.
Why must the world be so cruel? I hope in William's memory others will be inspired to be good, to be kind and to help rather than harm others. In an ideal world we would only fill others' buckets, not empty them.
