October 15, 1921 – October 23, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother, Kathleen Francis McGaffin at the age of 100 in the Shiretown Nursing Home in Pictou. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Jim McGaffin; parents, Frank and Marion Taker; sisters, Eleanor, Louise, and Joyce; brothers, Frank and James. She is survived by her daughters, Joan (Alex) Falconer, Karin (Ian) MacDonald, Grace; sons, Miller Frank (Carolynn), Ron (Valerie); brother, Cyril (Rose) Hayne; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. We want to thank the staff at Shiretown Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave Mom over the past number of years. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Goldboro, NS. Any donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
