Isabel Elizabeth Murray passed away at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow at the age of 104 years. She is survived by her daughter, Freda (John) Rekimowich of Lloydminster, Alberta; her son, Kenneth Murray of New Glasgow; her daughter-in-law, Carol Murray of Cold Lake, Alberta; her sister, Ruthie Smith of Loganville; close friends and caregivers, Ralph and Judy Hislop of Salt Springs; grandchildren, Crystal (Doug) Sevigny, Bob Murray (fiancee Shannon), Roxane (Wade) Closson, John (Cindy) Rekimowich, Joanne (Dell) Martens, Jane (Tyson) Veltikold, Tanis (Travis) Reschny; great-grandchildren, Jonah and Tagen Sevigny; Hunter and Dawson Murray; Adam and Mason Closson; Brayden, Kale, and Ryann Rekimowich; Aidan and Jada Martens; Jakson, Nate, and Benson Veltikold; Berkley and Hensley Reschny; and numerous nieces and nephews. Isabel was predeceased by her loving husband, George Murray in 1995; her son, Allan Murray in 2017; brothers, Franklin, Russell, Lloyd, and Eddie Tattrie; sisters, Jeanie Tattrie, Nettie Cameron, Jessie MacKay, Margaret Stewart, and Lillian Campbell. Public Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Private Funeral will be held in St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, Salt Springs, and although private the service will be live streamed at 2PM Wednesday, and viewed at https://distantlink.com/McLaren.html Public Graveside Service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester. COVID-19 restrictions will apply. In memory of Isabel, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Glen Haven Manor, or a charity of choice.
