Wright, Irene Muriel (Poirier) -70, of Lochbroom Loop, passed away June 30, 2021 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Norman & Florence (Madore) Poirier. She was loved and will be missed by her husband, Rex; daughters, Sandra (Chris Fornier) Wright, Michelle (Randy) Sutherland; son, Wayne Wright; grandchildren, Wyatt and Avery Pakeman, Tayleur (Miranda), Robyn, and Kiara Sutherland, Rex and Alexa Wright; and two great-grandchildren, Reijah, and Daylon; brother, ‘Kimo’ Poirier; sisters, Marie Graham, Jeannie Poirier; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Judy, Yvonne, Juliette, and Theresa; brothers, Ronald, Jack, George, Maurice, Frank and Gerald in infancy. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Sunday and 7-9PM Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. A private Funeral Mass will take place from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
