It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Simon Edward “Dinny” Cheverie aged 69 of Pine Street, Pictou on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Born in Pictou, he was the son of the late Sam Cheverie and Jean Cheverie Doiron. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Laura-May Cheverie and daughter, Kaitlin Alma Jean Cheverie. Dinny is also survived by brothers, Pete (Faye) Cheverie, London, Ontario; George (Sharon), Pictou; and sister, Catherine Madore, Pictou. He was pre-deceased by sister, Edna MacNeil. Dinny spent most of his working years at Presstran Industries in St. Thomas, Ontario. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Friday, July 17th from 7-8PM at McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. A Private family burial will take place in Seaview Cemetery with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Canadian Cancer Society or the Pictou County VON
