MacLEAN, Mary June – It is with great sorrow and with hearts that are broken we announce the passing of our mom, Mary June MacLean. June was the daughter of Dan Hector and Katie (Gillis) MacIsaac. She was born and raised in Scotchtown, Cape Breton and in her younger years she worked at Dagwoods Restaurant where she met the love of her life Wilfred “Red” MacLean. June was a stay at home mom raising six children, Sharon (Eric) Daley, Donald (Shelly) MacLean, Wilfred MacLean Jr., Catherine (David) Duggan, Carmel (James) Murphy and Lester MacLean; She was also survived by ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Boomer, Richard (Becky) Daley, Kyle (Caitlin Bishop) Daley, Randi (Greg) Sivasli, Joey (Lindsay) Duggan, Katie (Greg) Cameron, Taylor MacLean, Jordan (Julian Boisvert) MacLean, Matthew (Corilee Hollett) Murphy, Christina Murphy; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Bibeau, Lexena (Henry) LeBlanc; sister-in-law, Jane MacIsaac and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; brother, Daniel MacIsaac; brother-in-law, Gerald Bibeau. Mom’s greatest joy was when she was surrounded by her family at our many family gatherings and hearing all the antics of her grand and great- grandchildren. Due to Covid-19 measures, visitation, service and burial will be restricted to family only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care, Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choice. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
