It is with great sadness that the family of Wilda Landry announce her passing on December 10, 2019 in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou. Born on March 9, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Jessie Langille. She was a dedicated Legion member for 45 years at Branch No. 16, Pictou. A fabulous baker and a gifted knitter she made socks and mittens for many. There wasn’t a song she couldn’t dance to. Wilda was a dear friend to many. Besides her parents, Wilda was predeceased by her husband, Daniel “Tony” Landry; children, Cathy Gallant, Michael Landry, Gordon Landry, Vicky Landry, Daniel Landry; grandchild, Vicky Gallant; siblings, Doreen Corbett, Douglas MacKenzie, Stewart Langille, Diane McMullin, and Arnold Langille. Wilda is survived by her forever companion, Andrew Lynch; children, Jeanie Coughlan (Eldon), Charles Landry, Elsie Landry; siblings, Priscilla Corbett, Marlene Shaw, Nellie Bray, Jimmy Langille, Angus Langille, Delia Kreffer; grandchildren, Rachel Duffy, Marianne Dakens, Chastity Gallant, Darlene Gallant, Alexis Gallant, Vicky Landry, Shannon Colozza, Chelsea Heighton, Josh Heighton, Aaron Heighton; great-grandchildren, Reid and Hailey Duffy, Justice Bauld, Lucas and Logan Colozza. The family would like to give a special thanks to Glenda Cluney for all of her continuous support. Visitation will be held Friday from 7-9 PM in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where the service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Central Caribou Cemetery at a later date. Any donations in her memory may be made to the Northumberland Veteran’s Unit or the Stella Maris Parish.
