Our family is sad to announce the passing of Shelly Yvette Jenkins in New Glasgow on August 12th, 2019 at the age of 51. Shelly was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 30, 1967 but raised in Pictou. Shelly will be remembered for her love of her family, both by birth and chosen, animals (especially dogs), and for her cheery disposition with all the hospital staff she encountered even when she was enduring tough cancer treatments. Shelly will be remembered fondly and sorely missed by her sister, Wanita (Martin); her niece, Jade; nephews, Tylor and Caleb-Dain; brothers, Shane and Lyle; maternal aunt, Lynn (Danny) and a larger number of paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family.  She will also be remembered and missed by her chosen family in Edmonton, Alberta, Shannon, Shawn, Jess, Kris, Morgan, Ruth, and Jim and her special animal friends, Sam, Millie, Roman, and Bauer. Shelly was predeceased by her mother, Carolann (Leblanc) Jenkins (2008); her father, Lester Jenkins (2008) and her nephew, Zachary Noble (2014). A private burial will take place at a later date.
