Surrounded by his family in the Palliative Care Unit, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, Duncan MacKenzie ‘Ken’ Anderson, 79 of Three Brooks, Pictou County, (formerly of Braeshore) passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 30th, 2019. Ken is lovingly remembered by his adoring wife, Arlene; brothers, Ronald and Wilfred; children, Calvin (Jackie), Wayne (Sandra), Eric (Cathy); and his forever “little girl”, Janice (Brian); his furry friend, Baby; and many loving grandchildren, Clinton, Ben, Colton, Erika and Marcy; step-grandchildren, Courtney, Cody, Randy, Brandon and Kyle; nieces, nephews, cousins near and far, along with his extended family of the rooms. He was predeceased by his parents, John Wilfred Anderson and Catherine ‘Katie’ (nee MacLean) of Braeshore. Ken was hardworking, strong, loving, gentle and inspirational to those who knew him. He loved his family and showed everyday a magical twinkle in his eyes for his little wifey of 50 years. He was a Lobster Fishermen, Boat Builder, Mechanic, and Jack-of-all-Trades through-out the community and industry. The family invites visitors from 6– 9 PM on Saturday May 4th at the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral Services are planned for Sunday May 5th, 4:00 PM from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with burial at Seaview Cemetery.
