MacNEIL, Reginald H. “Ike”

Pictou

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Reginald Harris “Ike” MacNeil, age 80, of Swantee Drive and formerly Maple Street, Pictou.  He passed away peacefully in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Born in Pictou on October 1, 1938, he was a son of the late Fred and Hazel (Kiggens) MacNeil.  He is survived by his children, David (Alice), Calgary; Shari (Gary) Redmond, Pictou; Steven (Nancy), Dieppe; Dean (Wanda), Pictou; grandchildren, Shae-Lyn and Riley Redmond, Jared, Xander and Hunter MacNeil, and Melanie, Patrick and Caleb MacNeil. Ike is also survived by brother, Lawrence “Pie” (Shirley), Pictou; and sister, Barbara (Stan) MacEachern, Pictou.  He was predeceased by his wife, Edna (Cheverie); daughter, Shan Marie; brother, Peter; sisters, Ethel and Etta.  Visitation will be 6-9PM Thursday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Friday in the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating.
