Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Reid

Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Reid of Hebron, NS passed away peacefully at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche, NS on November 24, 2018. She was born on December 13, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Alice Reid of River John.  Beth’s chosen career in nursing took her to Yarmouth, where she dedicated almost 40 years to her profession, specifically in the areas of education and mental health. Beth had a strong independent spirit, a great sense of humor with a quick wit and retort.  Beth will be sadly missed by her sisters, Gayle Croft (Rick), River John; and Lynn (David Mackay), Rothesay, NB; nephews, Craig and Kevin (Sherry), River John; nieces, Jenny (Edmonton) and Lisa (Saint John); great nieces, Brooke and Sam. Beth was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Ian and Elaine Reid.  In keeping with Beth’s wishes there will be no visitation. A family graveside service will be held in the summer. The family would like to thank Dr. Bush and the nursing staff of the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care in her final days.  Arrangements have been entrusted to McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, NS.
